Hi, I’m Kim
From a very early age, I’ve always had a love for flowers. As the story goes, my first spoken word as a toddler was “FLOWER.” I guess the rest is history!
Coming from a family of cut flower and sod growers who immigrated to the US during the potato famine, for generations, growing and selling flowers , plants and sod has been our way of life.
As with many family owned businesses, my free time went to helping out in our flower shops. There I learned different aspects of the business from merchandising and customer service, to plant and cut flower care and handling.
While attending college, I went to class during the day and worked evenings and weekends at the shop. It was during my college days, I enrolled in Floral Design School at night to learn the aspects of design, balance, technique, and all of the necessary elements needed to work as a full time floral designer. It was there I discovered my true passion and love for design, the creativity of expression, mixing different materials to create unique, one of a kind designs.
Being able to take the elements of my floral design school education back to my family’s shops allowed my creativity to grow and evolve. Having the opportunity to work directly with clients to create events they’ve dreamed of has been one of the most fulfilling and exciting aspects of my career.
From the most intimate dinner party to the largest corporate function, lavish wedding, or other celebrations of life, I’ve been honored to be part of many wonderful life events throughout the US and Caribbean.
My goal in working with clients is to help them capture the emotion of the event and bring their vision to life, beyond what they could have communicated with words. I take pride in making the planning process enjoyable, less stressful, and seamless.
It’s All About the Details!
